Al-Eid and Al-Hamra win as Yaser, Khaled make tons

Brilliant centuries by Khaled of Al-Eid XI and Yaser Butt of Al-Hamra CC powered their teams to easy wins in the Fuchs Cup at RCA grounds in Sulay area. The tournament is sponsored by Al-Hamrani Fuchs Petroleum and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association.
Al-Eid XI started its campaign by beating ITSO Green by a very narrow margin of 2 runs. Taking first strike Al-Eid made 293 runs. The highlight of Al-Eid's innings was a sparkling 116 by Khaled. His knock included 15 fours and 4 sixes. He was well supported by Sohail (43). For ITSO Asif Baazi took 4 wickets while Imran Iqbal got 3.
ITSO Green gave good fight to its fancied rivals but fell short by two runs. Eijaz played splendidly for 76 runs, while Rizwan Manzoor (54) and Imran Iqbal (48) provided good support. For Al-Eid, Sohail took two wickets.
In another match, Al-Hamra CC humbled the fancied Friends CC by 5 wickets. Batting first Friends made 243. For Al-Hamra, Ahmeduddin bowled with fire to capture 4 wickets. Arfan Shah chipped in with 3 wickets while Zahid Mir took 2.
Al-Hamra CC got a good start as its opener Yaser Butt made a magnificent 105. Abu Baker (43) and Ahmed (29) gave good support.
At RCA ground 4, KFSH Green made light work of Deccan Blues by defeating it by 32 runs. Taking first strike KFSH Green was restricted to 143 by some tight bowling by Habib (3-30) and Siraj (2-26). For KFSH Green Abdul Rasheed made 33.
Deccan Blues in its chase folded for 112. Fayeq (32) and Fayez (48) batted well. For KFSH Green, Javid Bakshi (3-20) and Habib Akbar (2-26) did the damage.
AT KFSH ground 1, KFSH Blues got the better of Champions Cricket Club by six wickets. Taking first strike the CCC got in trouble early as it lost 8 wickets for 90 runs. But Imran made a gallant 62 to take his team to 182. For KFSH, Adnan, Abbasi, Ishaq and Azhar Hussein took two wickets each.
KFSH Blues reached the target but lost 5 wickets in process. Mansoor Ahmed (33) and Basith Butt (46 not out) were the main scorers.
At RCA ground 2, SAMBA CC overwhelmed Fuchs CC by seven wickets. Batting first, Fuchs CC was bowled out for 276. For SAMBA CC, Hasnain took 3 wickets. SAMBA CC reached the target with ease as openers Hasnain (79) and Kashif Khan (74) put a century partnership. Asif Khan (58) guided his team to a fine win.
At RCA ground 3, Pak Shaheen routed Super CC by 138 runs. Pak Shaheen took the first strike and compiled 409. The main contributors were Wahab Khan (77), Waheed Khan (46), Qadir Khan (56) and Walid Khan (86).
For Super CC Anees took 3 wickets while Baber Mirza and Riaz Ahmed got 2 each. Zahid Rizvi of Super CC gave a brisk start by hitting an aggressive 95. But apart from Adnan (51) none of his teammates lent any support and the team could make only 271. For Pak Shaheen, Abdul Salam took 4 wickets while Abdul Waheed claimed 2. __
