Like the previous year, this year too the Pakistan Welfare Society-Ladies Chapter (PWS-LC) provided Ramadan food packets to the needy and poor patients at the Free Medical Camp No. 281. The event was organized at the premises of Consulate General Pakistan, Jeddah, on Friday. Dr. Rabia Khatoon, in-charge of ladies chapter, and Abdul Sattar Younus, in-charge medical camp, worked hard in packaging, surveying poor families and organizing the processes of distribution. Speaking to Saudi Gazette Younus said, "It is a hard task but our volunteers worked continuously in making packets of edible food items. We provided rice, cooking oil, chickpeas, sugar, tea, flour (basin), palm oil, sweet jams and several other items for each family. Pairs of clothes were also included." Dr. Rabia said, "Ramadan is month of giving alms and doing good deed. I thank and pray to Allah to give great rewards to those who participated and helped generously." The recipients of the Ramadan food packet also thanked the organizers and prayed for their well-being. — SG
