Khoker was addressing the gathering at the first cultural bazaar, organized by the PWS-ladies wing at his residence recently. He praised the efforts of Fouzia Khan, in-charge of the PWS-ladies wing, and her husband, Pervaiz Akber Khan, who worked hard in organizing and raising funds for the event. He assured PWS of full support for community and charity works, including kidney center in Abottabad-Pakistan from Pakistan Consulate Jeddah and its staff. Afshan Khokher, wife of the Consul General Pakistan, performed the cake-cutting ceremony as the chief guest. Dr. Hawazin Hamed Mutawie, vice dean of the female section of the Batterjee Medical College, was also present as the guest of honor on the occasion. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman, president of PWS, said that PWS is a voluntary, welfare organization providing social, educational and health care services to the Asian expatriates and needy patients of the Pakistani community under the umbrella of Pakistan Consulate General. He expressed his gratitude to the consul general of Pakistan for his cooperation and support. He also thanked the community for attending the cultural bazaar with great interest and zeal. The bazaar featured 25 different stalls, displaying Pakistani handcrafts, dresses, jewelries, embroideries, local perfumes and ladies Abayas. At the medical stall, Dr. Shahid Zafar of PWS provided medical advises and tested blood sugar for SR5. A large number of Pakistani, Saudi and Asian families living in Jeddah, Makkah and Taif region attended the bazaar and enjoyed the wide variety of traditional Pakistani food like Biryani, curries, snacks, BBQ and sweets. Free tokens were given to men, women and children. A lucky draw giving away a gold ring attracted attendees. The event began with the recitation of few verses from the Qur'an by senior PWS member Mohammed Younus Abdul Sattar followed by the national anthem of Pakistan. Muhammed Ghazanfer Ali Chaudhari donated a check from Zahid Tractor and Heavy Machinery group and a personal check to Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman. PWS members Shamas-ur-Rehman Toor and Syed Shehabuddin conducted the event.
