For the fourth consecutive year, students from the Hala International School in this city have achieved top rankings in the recently announced Cambridge International AS and A Levels examination results. Maham Ovais ranked Top in Saudi Arabia in Accounting for the AS Level while Suhaib Ali Kamal (A Level) was named Top in Saudi Arabia in both Economics and Accounting, as well as Second Best Performer in the A Level in the Kingdom. He scored A*s (A stars) in all subjects he took, namely Economics, Accounting, ICT and Business Studies. Kamal had ranked Fifth in the World and Top in Saudi Arabia for AS Level Accounting the previous year. Both Ovais and Kamal are longtime students of the school which marked its 20th anniversary last year. Its students consistently perform well in the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (ICGSE), a popular international qualification for 14- to 16-year-olds. Cambridge International AS and A Levels are internationally benchmarked qualifications that prepare students for university education, according to the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) website. “They are taken in over 125 countries and offer a choice of 60 different subjects. Cambridge International AS and A Level qualifications are widely recognized and valued by universities and employers alike. Every year, thousands of Cambridge International A Level students gain places at good universities worldwide,” the site said.
