JEDDAH — Ibrahim Mohammed Ahmed Badawi, two times chairman of Yanbu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, was unanimously nominated as the new chairman of Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) in the recently held JCA Executive committee meeting. In this extraordinary session all the top cadre of JCA was present to celebrate the nomination of the new chairman. Humayun Farooq, vice chairman, Muhammad Iqbal, CEO, Sameer Nidal Khan, director, A.A. Merchant, torch bearer of JCA & the internal auditor, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, president, Hamid Afandi, vice president, Haroon Abdullah Bin Mahfouz, executive general secretary, Syed Ashfaque Hussain, joint secretary technical, and Zaheer Peeran. JCA President Aijaz Ahmed Khan introduced all the top cadre of JCA committee, office bearers and the executive committee members to the newly nominated chairman Ibrahim Badawi. Later Khan highlighted to the new chairman the various capabilities and qualifications of the JCA executive committee members and the office bearers. Badawi was born in Yanbu. He completed his university studies in the Jeddah-based King Abdul-Aziz University at the Faculty of Administration & Economics and majored in Economics in 1987. Badawi recently obtained the masters degree in Total Quality Management with distinction from the Productivity and Quality Institute of the Arab Academy for Sciences, Technology and Marine Shipping at Alexandria in Egypt in recognition of the field study titled "The expected effect for the application of the Total Management System for the attraction of subscribers to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the City of Yanbu". Throughout his career, Badawi achieved numerous achievements and won the membership of several committees and occupied several positions starting with warehouse manager at Medina Operations Program, chairmanship of Sanad Commercial & Industrial Group, chairman of the Board of Directors of Sanad Plant for Bitumen Products Co. Ltd in technical collaboration with Sinopec, China, deputy general manager at Alhamrani Fuchs Petroleum Company at Yanbu blending factory. That was the last position he held before dedicating his efforts to his business and public interest. Badawi won the membership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the City of Yanbu and became the Chairman of Yanbu Chamber of Commerce in its seventh and eighth session besides being a member in the Council for Saudi Chambers. Badawi was overwhelmed with his nomination as the Chairman of Jeddah Cricket Association and promised to work with the efficient committee members of JCA and hopes to enhance the status of JCA to a higher level soon. All the member of JCA congratulated, welcomed Badawi as the new chairman and promised to cooperate to the outmost to achieve his set targets as the new road map of JCA.
