JCA hosts grand reception for RCA

Nasrullah Khan Watto, Welfare Attache at the Consulate General of Pakistan; Dr. Faiz Al-Abideen, Chairman of JCA; Jawaid Munnawar, Sr. Vice President of RCA and Abdul Jabbar, President of YCL at JCA reception in Jeddah.JEDDAH: Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) hosted a grand reception in honor of the visiting Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) here Thursday.
The function was attended by M. Nasrullah Watto, Welfare Attaché Consulate General of Pakistan; Senior Vice President Jawaid Munnawar; Asif Sheikh, General Secretary RCA; Dr. Ahmar, Joint Secretary RCA; Khawar Abbas, Tour Manager, JCA Chairman Dr. Faiz Al-Abideen; Vice Chairman Humayun Farooq; President Mohammad Iqbal; Vice President Aijaz Ahmed Khan; Haroon Abdullah Bin Mehfooz, chief coordinator of JCA for the intercity matches; JCA executive committee members; Pakistani Journalist Forum members; Pakistani executive group members; Indian executive group members; captains and managers of the JCA registered clubs; media persons and the JCA sponsors executive managers.
With Syed Majeed-ul-Hassan, Executive General Secretary of JCA as the master of ceremony, the program started with the recitation from Holy Qur'an by Qari Mohammad Abbas Khan of Khak-E-Taiba Trust.
Mohammad Iqbal, JCA president, in his inaugural address welcomed the guest of honor and the visiting teams from Riyadh and Madina, with special thanks to M. Nasrullah Watto for honoring the JCA with his presence.
He said that the intercity matches will give an opportunity to the players and the committee members to learn from each other and create a good atmosphere for improving the game in the Kingdom and to take to the new heights in future.
Syed Zahid Ali expressed his appreciation to the JCA executive committee members for organizing intercity matches. He said that MCA will work with JCA-RCA-YCL and other parts of the Kingdom for the improvement of the game of cricket.
Abdul Jabbar Hussain, YCL president, agreed with all the points mentioned by the JCA and MCA president and assured his full support for any contribution of his experience to strengthen the cricket organizers. M.Nasrullah Watto, Welfare Attaché Consulate General of Pakistan, said that he was happy to see the cricketers from Riyadh, Jeddah and Madina. He also said that the Pakistan Consulate will extend full support to the cricketing organizations for such a nice game.
Dr. Faiz Al-Abideen, Chairman of Jeddah Cricket Association, said JCA is the binding force among the cricketers, cricket organizations and different communities living in the Kingdom. He said the JCA executive committee members having the experience of three decades in organizing cricket had made a place in the hearts of the cricketers and cricket lovers not only in Jeddah but throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Plaque of appreciation was given to the print media by JCA and RCA for their wide coverage.
Aziziullah Sheriff gave the vote of thanks to the guest of honor, visiting teams, the community executive groups, JCA and RCA intercity teams, the media men, sponsors, registered club representatives and cricket lovers. __
