Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – "The Holy Qur'an brings glad tidings and hope for the whole humanity. Islam has the essence of all Abrahamic religions that is why it has universal appeal," said participants in the recent program of Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah at Al-Ruwais district. M. Mujahid Syed shed light on the last verses of the Surah Al-Ahqaf. Syed Amir Naqvi and Syed Faizan participated in group discussion that was followed by the commentary of the Holy Qur'an. Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah, one of the oldest social organizations, organizes literary programs, concentrates on education and felicitates poets and writers, held its monthly meeting. In this program, poets, writers, intellectuals and lovers of Urdu language participated. Jeddah-based poets, Faisal Tufail and Mujahid Syed recited their Naats. Syed Tariq recited the Naat of famous poet Hamsar Qadiri Lakhnawi. The main attraction of this program were the small children. Syed Mustafa, Essam Tufail, Syed Muazzam, Syed Mubashshir, Sobiya Nadeem, Majidah Tashfeen, Marziyah Tariq recited the Naats. The program began with the recitation of a few verses of the Holy Qur'an by Syed Muhammad. Tashfeen Syed was master of the event. The vote of thanks was proposed by Syed Faizan Ahmad. The program was concluded with the supplication of Muhammad Sharif.
