JEDDAH – "If one goes through the accounts of the life of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, he can find a great distinction between a Prophet and a conqueror," said Farooq Azam Usmani, while chairing Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah's 3rd Seerah seminar in which intellectuals and people gathered at Al-Ruwais district Jeddah. "During the battle of Badr (that was imposed by the infidels of Makkah on Muslims), famous companion of the Holy Prophet, Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, came thrice to see how it was going with the Prophet, peace be upon him, and each time found him praying with his head down on the ground in prostration. The battle was thick, but the Man of Allah who made no use of his weapons took up a handful of earth and cast it away in the direction of the foe. Next moment the enemy forces broke up. As clouds sometimes clear away in an overcast sky, and the field lay deserted," giving the example of the Holy Prophet's spiritualism and trust in God said Farooq Usmani. "War has been seen in the history of the civilization as an essential evil. The Prophet of Mercy, peace be upon him, reformed it to such a great extent that the scenes of callousness, bloodshed and brutality that were quite rampant in Arabia before the Prophet, became nonexistent. Only the wonder-working power of a Prophet could purge this inhuman institution of all its wickedness," said Mujahid Syed. "We are very fortunate that authentic life-accounts of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, are available to guide mankind forever. Earlier no religion had ever proclaimed and proved authenticity of the details of the lives of their Messengers. The seerahs of our Holy Prophet, written in different languages, show that he was a Mercy of Allah for everyone," said Khaja Syed Najmudddin in his address. The first session of the program began with the recitation of the verses of the Holy Qur'an by Syed Muhammad. The Naats were recited by Marziyah Tariq, Mohsin Nadeem, Syed Mubashshir, Syed Muazzam, Sobiyah Nadeem, Majidah Tashfeen, Syed Mustafa. The Jeddah poets Yawar Muzaffarpuri and Mujahid Syed too presented their Naats. Asad Syed was master of the event. The vote of thanks was proposed by Syed Faizan Ahmad. Muhammad Salim concluded the program with his supplication.
