JEDDAH — Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah organized a Seerah Seminar at Al-Ruwais district in which a large number of poets, intellectuals and audience participated. This seminar had two sessions. The first session began with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Qur'an by Hasan Farooq. On this occasion schoolchildren Syed Muhammad, Syed Mustafa, Syed Muazzam, Syed Mubashshir, Syedah Majidah and Sobia Nadeem recited Naats. In his address Anwar Hussain referred to Surah Al-e-Imran's Verse 164: "Certainly did Allah confer (great) favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book (i.e. the Qur'an) and wisdom, although they had been before in manifest error." Hussain shed light on the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, with the help of this verse and gave details of the Prophet's Divine Mission. "Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, came with the Last Message to save Mankind from going astray," he said. "In Pakistan the urban and rural social mosaic is still intact due to the love of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. His love keeps us united and it can unite humanity too because it teaches us self-sacrifice. Such programs give a new life to the people and enlighten hearts. We need such programs everywhere," said Muhammad Shareef. "We talk about different miracles of the different Prophets, peace be upon them, but our Beloved Prophet's (peace be upon him) greatest miracle is the Holy Qur'an. The Qur'an gave birth to a world religion. ‘It has appealed to peoples as different and distant from one another as Nigerians and Indonesians. Even in its heartland, the lands of Arabic civilization between the Nile and the Hindukush it encompasses huge difference of culture and climate,'" quoting famous historian J.M. Roberts, Muhammad Mujahid Syed said. The second session began with the recitation of Urdu and Punjabi Naats by famous Pakistani Naat singer Muhammad Jamil. Syed Tariq recited a Naat of Hamsar Qadiri Lakhnawi and Syed Tashfeen recited a Naatiah quatrain (Ruba'ie). Some Jeddah poets Yawar Muzaffarpuri, Anwar Hussain, Faisal Tufail and Mujahid Syed participated in the Naatiah Mushairah. Few examples of the Naats recited in the poetry session: Darood bhej raha hoon sada salam ke baad Tumhare naam ki rut hai Khuda ke naam ke baad (Yawar Muzaffarpuri) Tu Kareem ibn e Kareem hai main ghulam ibne gulam hoon Rahe silsilah meri aal ka Teri Aal se mere Mustafa (Anwar Hussain) Toota hua tha rooh se rishta wajood ka Aise men kaam aa gaya padhna Darood ka (Faisal Tufail) Ab iske baad Mujahid nahin koi hasrat Unhen jo dekh liya do jahan ko dekh liya (Mujahid Syed) Faisal Shaikh was master of the event in both the sessions.
