Rajendernagar Hi-Tech emerges champion

JEDDAH — Rajendernagar Hi-Tech Cricket Club emerged champion in the Asaduddin Owaisi Cup 2017 here recently.
This novel six-over-a-side was conducted at the green artificial grass ground under the floodlights. The teams participated were exclusively from Hyderabad.
The event was organized by NRIs Saudi Fraternity Forum Jeddah and was sponsored by Zamrud Restaurant Medina Munnawara, Biryani House Jamjoom Jeddah, Premier Developers & Contractors, Ghouse Constructions, Logics Systems, PepsiCo, Riqa Computers and G-21 Optics Jeddah. The tourney was designed by the Saudi Digital Marketing Company.
Mohammad Al Qureshi, president of NRI's Saudi Fraternity Forum, assured to conduct the tournament with more participants soon.
The matches played on league-cum-knockout basis among the 12 teams. Ahmeduddin Owaisi, president, Bazm E Ittehad Global, was the chief guest along with other prominent Indian community leaders.

Barkas XI 35-2 in 6 overs. Moghalpura 36-4 in 4.5 overs.
SultanShahi 40-5. Seven Tombs Kings XI chased down the target in 6 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Moghalpura 51-6. GTWA Warriors 28-3.
SultanShahi 44-6. Mallapally MFCC 36-7.
Mallapally MFCC 27-8. Seven Tombs Kings XI chased the score in 4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Barkas XI 36-5. GTWA Warriors also scored 36-4.
Golconda MHMCC 34-6. Rajendernagar Hi-Tech XI chased the score in 3.1 overs without losing any wicket.
Bahadurpura Zamrud 25-8. Malakpet Royals chased the score in 3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Shalibanda Biryani House 34-5. Golconda MHMCC 33-6.
Bahadurpura Zamrud Restaurant 27-8. Charminar XI 28-7 in 5.5 overs.
Shalibanda Biryani House 36-6. Rajendernagar Hi-Tech 37-2 in 4 overs.
Malakpet Royals 42-6. Charminar XI 39-4. Malakpet Royal, Rajendernagar Hi-tech XI, Seven Tombs Kings and Moghalpura qualified for the semifinals.
Results:
Moghalpura 54-7. Seven Tombs Kings 41-6. Tariq was declared the Man of the Match.
Malakpet Royals 34-5. Rajendernagar Hi-Tech 35-4 in 5.1 overs. Owais was declared the Man of the Match.
Final: Moghalpura 21-8. Rajendernagar Hi-Tech 22-1 3.1 overs. Wakas was adjudged the Man of the Match.
