DAMMAM — The Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) honored the outstanding performers including teams and players of the 2015-2016 season at its glittering 36th annual prize distribution ceremony at Holiday Inn, AlKhobar, recently. Dignitaries, sponsors, guests and members of EPCA registered clubs graced the function. Among the prominent guests were Mohammed Ansary, general manager, Al-Markb International Marine Services; Rami Al-Turki, CEO & president of Al-Turki; Nasir Javed, general manager, Al-Ascon; Nadeem Nadwi, CEO, Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC); Fayaz Aslam Shaikh, managing director, Al-Dossary Hardware. EPCA General Secretary Abulhasan started the proceedings by reciting the verses from Holy Qur'an and then welcomed the guests. President Farhat Mehmood, while welcoming sponsors, members and guests, reviewed the association's activities and commended the efforts of executive committee for the season 2015-16. He thanked all the sponsors for their support and underlined their continuous support. Rami Al-Turki, also promised his firm's support and sponsorship in the years to come. Ansary of Al-Markb International said that he was impressed by the way EPCA is running the show and assured his support. Nadwi also commended the performance of EPCA and its players. He also announced that a new cricket stadium will be operational in Jeddah soon and it will be followed in other cities. Later, all the players from the winning teams and the runners-up teams were presented with shield and individual cups. EPCA also presented special appreciation shield to sponsors.
