Saudi Readymix Sponsors EPCA

Saudi Readymix will be sponsoring the Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) Knockout Tournament for the season 2008.
This was announced by EPCA President Abdulaziz Al-Naimi. He thanked Rami Khalid Al-Turki, the President of Saudi Readymix Company for for supporting EPCA for the third consecutive year.
Ten teams have registered for this ongoing cricket tournament. They are Khalifa A. Al-Gosaibi CC, Asia XI, Suzuki CC, Informatics SA CC, Royal Kashmir XI, ADPCO CC, Ansari XI, ICCC, IISD CC and NATEST CC.
A newly registered cricket club Informatics Saudi Arabia played its first match against Khalifa A. Al-Gosaibi. Al-Gosaibi batted first and scored 294-7. Amin Saifullah and Ashraf opened the innings and both got out at the score of 37.
Khwaja and Mohammed Furqan stabilized the innings and put on 115 runs for the third wicket. Khawaja scored a useful 64 and Mohammed Furqan hit a magnificent century (108) which included 14 hits to the fence. Gulam Hasan, Wajid and Furqan Khan bowled well and took 2 wickets each for Informatics.
In reply informatics Saudi Arabia was bowled out for 222. Shahid (56) was the top scorer. Mumtaz Sardar scored a breezy 39 from just 13 balls which included 5 boundaries and three sixes.
Majid chipped in 32 and Ghulam Hasan contributed 30. Qaisar took 3 wickets.
Mohammed Furqan after scoring a fine century also bowled well and claimed 2 wickets and Amin Saifullah took 2.
In another match, ADPCO beat Asia XI by 139 runs. ADPCO amassed 347-2. Hidayat scored a scintillating 81 in just 35 balls with 8 boundaries and 5 sixes.
After Hidayat's fireworks, Sohrab Ali and Syed Amin both scored unbeaten centuries.
Chasing a big total, Asia XI got out for 208. Ali scored a fine half century (66). Hidayat this time showed his class with the ball by taking 3-22 and Imran grabbed 2-25.
In another matches, ICC won against Royal Kashmir and Suzuki CC beat Hyderabad Blues. __
