Roadecho Stallions, Challengers triumph

Round 5 matches of the SAIB T20 Tournament were played here recently. A few matches were affected by rain. This tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB).
In Huraymala League, Sinmar CC beat GK IISC by 6 wickets. GK IISC, batting first, posted 158-6. Shahid top scored with 86. Zainul Hassan picked up 2 wickets. Sinmar reached the target in 14.3 overs. Ishtiaq added 70 and Tila 30. Habeeb claimed 2 wickets.
Roadecho Stallions thrashed Kashmir Strikers by 131 runs. Stallions posted 201-5. Adnan hit 53, Adeel 43 and Shakoor 41. Faizan, Manzoor and Shabbir bagged one wicket each. Kashmir Strikers, in reply, was bundled out for 70. Sameer added 37. Ayaz picked up 4-13, while Ashfaq and Adnan bagged 2 wickets each.
Riyadh Fighters got the better of Cricket Samarwa by 6 wickets. Samarwa managed 121-7. Rashed scored 42 and Shazab 38. Taqi was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-19. Riyadh Fighters was home in 13.3 overs. Hameed added 50 and Nusrat 35.
In Hayer League, Tigers beat Rising Stars by 5 wickets. Rising Stars were all out for 150. Umar scored 51 and Usman 30. Tigers, in reply, managed 153-5 in 18 overs. Asghar scalped 3 wickets and Umar 2.
Pakhtunkhawa Gladiators thumped Black Caps by 57 runs. Gladiators posted 155. Naveed made 38 and Munir 35. Amir and Saud shared 3 wickets each. Black Caps, in reply, were all out for 98. Imran scored 23 and Adnan 21. Naveed Khan took 4-10.
In Diriyah League, Challengers XI beat Karachi Kings by 4 wickets. Karachi Kings posted 186-7. Ajab Khan scored 67 and Arshad Khan 38. Karthik took 2 wickets. Challengers XI reached the target in 18.5 overs. Anish Chandran hit 109. Ali Arif bagged 2 wickets.
Charsadah Kings downed Phoenix by 68 runs. This match was reduced to 13 overs a side due to rain. Karachi Kings scored 168-1, thanks to a brilliant knock of 115 by Sajjad Khan. Phoenix, in reply, was restricted to 100-2. Gulsher added 46 and Adeel 26.
Battagram Zalmi got the better of Delhi Dare Devils by 20 runs in another rain-affected match, which was reduced to 16 overs. Zalmi posted 139-7. Naveed hit 37 and Nawab 21. Zaheer and Amir picked up 2 wickets each.
Delhi Dare Devils could manage only 119-8. Amir scored 34 and Ramzan 26. Nawab took 3 wickets and Najam 2.
The match between Samshers and Kingdom Warriors could not be completed due to rain. When rain stopped play, Kingdom Warriors was 66-1 in 8 overs. Hussain was not out on 40. Both teams shared a point each. - SG
