Exciting matches in Amex T20 tourney

RIYADH — Exciting matches were played in the RCA Amex T20 Tournament as Yasif, Aziz and Sajjad smashed centuries, while Waqas Tahir took the first six-for of the event. Organized by Riyadh Cricket Association, this tournament is sponsored by The American Express Company.
Huraymala League
In a nail-biting finish, L'usine edged Mohmand CC by 2 wickets on the penultimate delivery. Mohmand was all out for 175. Zohaib scored an unbeaten 51 and Lateef 24. Asif grabbed 3 wickets, while Azam and Raza took 2 wickets each. L'usine made 176 in 19.5 overs, losing 8 wickets. Ali (46), Talha (30) and Talal (26 not out) played vital knocks. Zohaib took 3 wickets and Lateef 2.
Riyadh Blues thumped Roadecho Stallions by 5 wickets. Roadecho Stallions piled up 186. Adeel (52), Yasir (42) and Faisal (32) batted well. Aleem grabbed 4-35. Amir got 2 wickets. Riyadh Blues chased down the target in 19.3 overs. Shakeel top scored with 55. Sufian and Saleem made 35 each.
Swat Tigers was humbled by Fonte Star by 19 runs. Fonte posted 175. Bilal and Waseem scored 56 and 44, respectively. Ashraf and Qaiser grabbed 2 wickets each. Israr's heroic 93 was not enough as Sawat Tigers fumbled to 156 in 18.2 overs. Afaq and Bilal grabbed 3 wickets each, while Shahbaz took 2.
Super registered a victory over Kashmir by 5 wickets. Kashmir collected 181. Babar smashed 74 off 40 balls. Adnan bagged 4 wickets, while Asgher and Abdul Waheed claimed 2 each. Super scored 182 in 16.2 overs. Muneer led the chase with 86, followed by Kashif (36). Sabir got 2 wickets.
Punjab Stars thrashed FAST by 5 wickets. Alam Zaib (72), Bashart (44), Salman (38) and Fareed (27) helped Fast to post 201 for 5. Asif took 2 wickets. Yasif's brilliant 104 off 52 balls ensured a successful chase in 19 overs. Roshan scored 40.
In other matches, Pak Eagles humbled Pak Force by 27 runs, PTI lost to Riyadh Warriors by 55 runs and Kohsar humbled Kashmir by 4 wickets.
Diriyah League
Pak Stallions thrashed Royal Strikers by 218 runs. Pak Stallions amassed 318 in 20 overs. Qaiser blasted 108 off 41 balls, including 16 fours and 4 sixes. Ali smashed 85 off just 37 balls. Shiju took 2 wickets. Royal Strikers managed only 100.
Bannu Eagles downed Battagram Zalmi by 104 runs. Bannu Eagles scored 224. Aziz Khan blasted 111 off 54 balls. Afridi contributed 35. Asmat grabbed 3 wickets, while Amir and Inaam took 2 each. Battagram was all out for 120. Amir and Shoib scored 26 each. Arshad grabbed 4 wickets and Shoukat 2.
Battagram defeated Riyadh Warriors CSK in their second outing. Battagram scored 173. Inam scored 43 and Shoaib 38. Shaji took 3 wickets. Azhar and Bilal picked up 2 wickets each. CSK fumbled to 156. Zahid (42), Shaji (36) and Bilal (28) batted well. Nawab bagged 2 wickets and Azmath 4.
King Lions and Karachi Kings match ended in a thrilling tie. King Lions XI posted 132. Nasir top scored with 25. Ali took 4 wickets. Abdul Raheem and Asghar claimed 2 wickets. For Karachi Kings, Ajab top scored with 23. Nasir bowled a stunning spell to grab 5-15. Jahangir took 2 wickets.
In other matches, Charsaddah Kings humbled Smashers by 7 wickets and Talented XI thumped Abana by 9 wickets.
