Wahla steals the show in CIT-SPL T20

JEDDAH — Aamir Wahla's stellar performance — 117 runs and 2 for 26 — guided Naseem Al-Zahra to an exciting win over Saudi German Hospital, while Pepsi Deccan Knight, Pak Shaheen and all 3 MCH teams — Premier, Green and Hala School —prevailed in the 5th week matches of the JCA-organized CIT-SPL T20 Championship, which is sponsored by Canadian International Trade (CIT) and co-sponsored by Initial Services, Ace Travel, Hyderabad Sharks, Maui Jim Sunglasses, Pepsi (Sipco), Mizo Juices (Arrow Foods), Khind Electronics and Bison.
The 5th week matches were witnessed by special guests Deepak Kalia of CIT, Khaled Yamani of Khind Electronics, Mohammad Shameem Kausar of Khak-E-Taiba Trust, Mirza Qudrath Nawaz, trustee of Pain & Palliative Care Trust, and Mehmood Misri.
The master of ceremonies Aamir Ghaffar Siddique and singer Syed Abdul Rafay thrilled the cricketers and supporters.
Naseem Al-Zahra raced to a 16-run win over Saudi German Hospital as Aamir Wahla stole the show with a brilliant 117 inclusive of 10 fours and 8 sixes. It earned him the Player of the Week award. Pak Shaheen grabbed the second spot with an emphatic 48-run win over Ace Travel with Salman chipping with 3 for 30. Pepsi Deccan Knights regained its form with a 3-wicket win over MB Stars, courtesy of a superb 80 from Syed Afroz. MCH teams had a filed day. Premier won 55 runs over KAIA, powered by Kashif Shafiq's all-round show of 91 runs and 2 wickets, Green thrashed Peeran XI by 76 runs as Rana Shahzad hit an unbeaten 50 and took 3 wickets and Hala International School defeated Hyderabad Sharks by 68 runs, helped by a polished 62 from Shehzad.

Pak Shaheen defeated ACE Travel by 48 runs.

Pepsi Deccan Knights downed MB Stars by 3 wickets. MB Stars 194-9 (Hasnain 55, Javed 31, Arbab 26, Aamir 25; Wajid 2-23, Ishaq 2-28, Abdul Qadeer 2-36, Hyder 2-43). Pepsi Deccan Knights 197-7 (Syed Afroz 80, Ayaz 48 not out, Abdul Quddus 27; Hassan 2-18). Man of the Match: Syed Afroz.
Hala International School beat Hyderabad Sharks by 68 runs. Hala 200-9 (Shehzad 62, Jawad 34, Aamir 31; Mohammed Hassan 4-32, Mohammed Shehzad 2-28). Hyderabad Sharks 132-9 (Sajjad 28 not out, Syed Arif Hashmy 22; Shahjahan 3-33, Zahid 2-14). Man of the Match: Shehzad.
