Afroz ton guides Pepsi over MB Stars

Pepsi Deccan Knights continued its march with a solid 8-wicket win over MB Stars thanks to a scintillating unbeaten knock of 117 from Syed Mohammed Afroz in Ace Premier League here.
Afroz flogged the bowlers to all parts of the ground hitting 11 sixes and 10 fours in his 37-ball knock and helping Deccan Knights score 169 for 2 in only 10.5 overs to overtake MB Stars total of 168 all out in the 8th week action of the event sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
MCH Premier rolled over MCH Blazers by 8 wickets. MCH Blazers posted 139 for 7 in 20 overs with Qamar Javed (20), Faisal (34) among the runs. Imran took 3 for 27 and Abu Huraira 3 for 13. MCH Premier scored 143 for 2 in 18.1 overs with Naeem scoring 51 not out and Babar Hussain 58 not out.
Pepsi Deccan Knights shot down M.B. Stars by 8 wickets. M.B. Stars was all out for 168 in 18.3 overs. Ateeq hit Mansha 46, Ameeq 28 and Amer 22. Akram scalped 4-30 and Hyder 2-20. Pepsi Deccan Knight was home (169) for the loss of 2 wickets in 10.5 overs. Syed Mohammed Afroz blasted an unbeaten 117.
Ace Travel flew past Sindh XI by 95 runs. Ace Travel made 233 for 7 in 20 overs as Adnan scored 68, Moazam 72 and Asghar 33. Ayaz claimed 2 for 32 and Mohsin Raza 3 for 41. Sindh XI was sent packing for 138 in 17.2 Overs. Mohsin Raza hit 40 and Fahad 25. Rashid took 3 for 26 and Faheem Pasha 3 for 5.
Saudi Oil beat Pak Shaheen by 6 wickets. Pak Shaheen put on 153 in 18 overs. Faisal Khan (44) and Qamar (32) were the main contributors. Humayun bagged 2-17, Kashif 2-32, Shahzad 2-31 and Waqas 2-31. Saudi Oil reached 158 for 4 in 16 overs with Sulaiman making 60 and Mukhtar 20. Nasir took 2 for 37.
Earlier in the 7th week matches, Ace Travel crushed ALJ Toshiba by 99 runs, MCH Premier thrashed ARM United by 175 runs, Pepsi Deccan Knights overcame Sindh XI by 7 wickets. — SG
