Ittihad, Jamoom Tigers, Hyderabad Sharks win in Saudi Cup

JEDDAH — Ittihad, Jamoom Tigers, Hyderabad Sharks along with cup sponsors Reel & Room and UT Lines crushed their respective opponents in the second week of the Saudi Cup jointly sponsored by Reel & Rom and UT Lines under the auspices of Jeddah Cricket Association.
While Ittihad crushed MCH Green by 9 wickets, Jamoom Tigers mauled Malik XI by 193 runs, Hyderabad Sharks beat ICAD by 6 wickets, Reel & Rom downed Universal United by 39 runs and UT Lines thumped Pak Shaheen by 5 wickets. In other matches Gujrat XI cleaned up Saudi Oil by 59 runs, Ace Travel shot down King Stars by 72 runs, Pepsi Deccan Knight thumped Peeran XI, Faisal CC overcame National Automobile Juffali and Saudi German Hospital shot MB Stars with precision by 5 wickets.
The highlights of the action were: a scintillating unbeaten 137 (off 63 balls) by Osman Butt of Jamoom Tigers, a superb unbeaten 101 (off 53 balls) by Parvaiz of Hyderabad Sharks, an elegant 105 (off 46 balls) by Abdul Raheem of King Stars, a quick-fire unbeaten 104 (off 43 balls) and a solid unbeaten 108 (off 68 balls) by Rana Said of Faisal CC.
Ittihad crushed MCH Green by 9 wickets: MCH Green 143 for 8 in 20 overs - Amanullah 59, Zameer 22; Sajid 3-26, Fahad 2-7. Ittihad XI 148 for 1 in 10.4 overs - Rizwan 58, Sikandar 50 not out, Mubeen 32 not out.
Jamoom Tigers mauled Malik XI by 193 runs. Jamoom Tigers 255 for 1 – Osman Butt 137 not out, Waseem 71, Arshad. Malik XI 62 all out - Shabaaz 22; Omar 2-16, Sayeed Gulam 2-23, Ismail 3-21.
Hyderabad Sharks thrashed ICAD by 6 wickets. ICAD 201 for 5 - Mohsin Raza 40, Mohamed Ashraf 42, Shakeel 50, Sami 39; Naveed 2-21, Tahir 2-43. Hyderabad Sharks 206 for 4 in 19.2 overs - Parvaiz 101 not out, Raziuddin Osman 31 not out; Mohamed Hassan 2-32.
Reel & Rom beat Universal United by 39 runs. Reel & Rom 236 for 6 - Waheed 69, Imran 29, Rashid 40 not out, Wajid 32, Kashif 23; Amjad 2-24. Universal United 197 all out - Aijaz 78, Bilal 39, Tariq 32; Waheed 4-34, Amjad 5-27.
UT Lines downed Pak Shaheen by 5 wickets. Pak Shaheen scored 142 all out - Nazakath 32, Saqlian 26; Omar 4-39, Zakir 3-13, Shad Khan 2-1. UT Lines 143 for 5 in 17.2 overs - Ali 37, Yousuf 38; Faisal khan 2-20, Asim Ali 2-20.
Gujrat XI beat Saudi Oil by 59 runs. Gujrat XI 202 all out - Shahid 68, Arbab 33, Rashid 29; Ashiq 2-33, Salman Malik 2-34. Saudi Oil Co. 143 all out - Salman Malik 47, Ayaz 47; Shahid 2-25, Ajamal 2-24, Mubashir 2-14.
Ace Travel thumped King Stars by 72 runs. Ace Travel 308 for 3 in 20 overs – Bilal 104 not out in 43 balls, Abdul Wahid 51, Adnan Khan 92. King Stars 236 for 4 in 20 overs - Abdul Raheem 105, Yasir 45, Asif 54; Kahlid 2-39.
Other results: Pepsi Deccan Knights downed Peeran XI by 6 wickets; Faisal CC edged National Automobile Juffali by 32 runs; and Saudi German Hospital beat MB Stars by 5 wickets.
