Some 43 Filipino volunteers adept in various skills related to Information and Communication Technology (ICT), attended a seminar organized by the Computer Society of Fillipinos International, Inc. (COMSOFIL-Central) at the Elite International School AVR facility recently, a statement of the society said here Monday. Society's assistant vice president for education, Sir Doms P. Herras, and the newly elected president, Leonida A. Manuel, in their opening remarks highlighted the importance of holding the seminar. “The seminar would strengthen the teaching capability of IT instructors, assistant instructors, technical and the support staff of the Society,” they said. “It is imperative that the staff of the society is updated with the latest know-how in the IT field,” Benjie Cabayahe vice president for education said. “Our volunteer instructors had to undergo a training to revitalize and master skills which would help them in teaching Filipino workers interested in upgrading their knowledge in information and communication technology.” The office-bearers introduced three more divisions— graphics, technical and office productivity in the Society's curriculum. — SG __
