Vice Consul and Second Secretary Victor Romulo M. Israel, Jr. inducted into office the 16 newly elected officers and members of Board of Directors of the Computer Society of Filipinos, Intl. (COMSOFIL) during 15th Comsofil general assembly and Induction ceremonies at the Setteen Palace Hotel, an official of the group said Friday. The overall theme of this year's celebration is “Working Together for a Brighther Tomorrow through Information Communication and Technology.” The vice consul was the guest of honor and speaker. He represented Ambassador Antonio P. Villamor, who had previous commitment. Israel cited COMSOFIL's pionering effort, dedication and as an active partner of the Philippine embassy for helping upgrade the OFWs' technical know-how in the field Information Communication and Technology. The Officers and Board of Directors for 2010 are Salvador S. Villalino (President 2010), Celso S. Ditalo (VP Education), Marilyn E. Costuna (VP Membership), Danilo S. Cortez (VP Finance), Andre Ferrer (VP Engineering), Norma Noble (Secretary), Domingo P. Herras (Public Relations Officer), Benjamin F. Cabaya, Jr. (Auditor), Noel S. Garcia (Sports Chairman). The Board of Directors are Noraisah Lao, Erlinda R. Ulita, Vic G. Beredo, Mary Grace S. Mendoza, Marvin Domalaon, Armando P. Soledad and Antonio A. Gayeta. Special recognition awards were given to the Filipino Channel, the Saudi Gazette, the Riyadh International School (RIS) and High-Tech Computer Company for their unfailing support or continued sponsorship of the COMSOFIL projects. Plaque of appreciation were also handed over by the members of the Board of Trsutees to te instructors, assistant Instructors and technical support staff. The event was attended by members of the Board of Trustees Edwin Fontiveros, Adolfo Muga, Jr., Nomer Cenil, Edwin Lavin and COMSOFIL technical support staff, instructors assistant instructors.
