The North Indian Fraternity Forum (NIFF) Jeddah celebrated Saudi National Day and the Indian Independence Day jointly with variety of programs highlighting the achievement of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in past 86 years and especially during past few years under the leadership of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman. The evening started with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an by Zainab Ayaz, followed by instrumental tribute by Hardeep Singh of Saudi National Anthem and the Indian National Anthem. A cake cutting ceremony with Chief Guest L. Ramnarayan Iyer, executive editor of Saudi Gazette, and founder of IISJ Rafibhai along with IISJ MC members Majid Saleem and Tahil Ali and office bearers of NIFF was held. IISJ Chairman Mohammad Iqbal and another managing committee member Asif Daudi were also present during program. There was a fancy dress competition by tiny tots who showcased their talent by coming on stage in various Saudi dresses and attire. An audio video quiz consisting of new, old songs, GK questions about Saudi Arabia and about Urdu-Hindi poets and their poetry was wholeheartedly participated by all. A sweet dish competition was also organized where spouse of NIFF members made delicious dishes. Dr. Shipra Singh's "Kiwami Siwai" and Mrs. Sheeba Wazir's "tri-color cheese cake" won first prize, while Mrs. Ghazala Zahoor won second prize for her delicious "Gujhia" (an Indian sweet). The prizes of the event were sponsored by MOSAID Travel & Tours. The event's success would not have been possible without active participation of NIFF committee members Danesh Ahmad, S. P. Singh, Ajai Singh, Zahoor Ansari, Usman Moin, Arshad Rasheed, Wazir Akhtar and women coordinators Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur, Mrs. Anjum Ansari and Mrs. Sahar Nasir. The presence and active participation of senior members like Farzan Rizvi, Murtuza Siddiqui, Mansoor Khwaja, Imran Kidwai, Zeeshan Nomani made the event memorable. Adil Ishrat proposed the vote of thanks and reminded NIFF members about the group's charity activities and requested them to contribute as much as possible.
