THE North Indian Fraternity Forum (NIFF) in Jeddah achieved another milestone in its efforts to create a healthy environment for young members to participate and learn life skills. The forum recently organized a humorous speech competition for youngsters in an effort to create opportunities for them to express themselves in a unique way, different from the conventional mode of speech. Parents and children heartily participated in the event and made the effort worthwhile. The topics were: "Aur manzar badal gaya" (and the way changed); "Ab tera kya hoga kaliya" (What will happen to you Kaliya now) and "Bandar kya jaaney adrak ka swad" (How a monkey can know the taste of ginger). The winners in the junior category were: Eshan Singh (first), Areej Arshad (second) and Aamna Adil (third). The winners in the senior category were: Pritpal Kaur (first) and Alqab Arshad (second). The humor flavored speeches not only mesmerized those present at the event but also evoked a spontaneous burst of laughter from them. The event was sponsored by MOSAID Travel & Tourism Services and snacks were served by Spice Garden Restaurant. Khwaja Nasir Jamal, NIFF secretary general, thanked the judges and the audience for their valuable time and participation in the program.
