The Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) Riyadh chapter organized its 53rd massive Blood Donation Camp in coordination with King Fahd Medical City (KFMC) on Sept. 2. The donated blood is to be used this year for needy Haj pilgrims. Three hundred and seventy-six (376) people participated in the brlood drive and altogether they donated 278 units. The KFMC Lab Team led by James provided full support to TNTJ volunteers. The Laboratory Director Madem Reham Saleh O. Al-Swayeh thanked TNTJ organizers for organizing such kind of noble work continuously. The TNTJ Blood Donation campaign coordinator Haja Mydeen said that, "So far his organization, TNTJ, has conducted 52 camps and TNTJ continues to be the No. 1 organization for the last 11 years in conducting blood donation camps and hospital authorities have awarded more than 15 awards to TNTJ while praising the noble contribution." He added, "By the grace of Almighty Allah, Riyadh TNTJ continues to be No. 1 on the voluntary blood donation campaign in the Gulf Country." In recognition of the noble contribution, TNTJ has received a number of awards from the Ministry of Health — Saudi Arabia and Tamil Nadu (Indian state) government. Riyadh TNTJ President Irshad Ahmed said, "TNTJ organizes voluntary blood donation campaign for the emergency requirements for Umrah and Haj season. The donor's blood will be used for the requirements of Umrah pilgrims," adding, "We conduct these camps according to the verse of Noble Qur'an Chapter 5 verse 32 ‘Whoever saves a life will be as if he has saved entire mankind' which will create social harmony and razes hatred among Muslim and Islam." — SG
