The Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) Riyadh Chapter organized its 48th Mega Blood Donation Camp last weekend in coordination with King Fahd Medical City (KFMC). Total of 288 people participated in the drive, set for the benefit of this year Umrah pilgrims. Altogether the people donated 254 units. KFMC Lab Team led by James provided full support to TNTJ volunteers. The Laboratory Director Saud Al Anazi thanked TNTJ organizers for organizing such kind of noble work continuously. TNTJ Blood Donation campaign Coordinator Haja Najmudeen said: "So far his organization (TNTJ) has conducted 47 camps and TNTJ continues to be No. 1 organization for the last 12 years in creating awareness and donating blood. The Hospital authorities have awarded more than 15 awards to TNTJ praising their noble contribution." He added: "By the grace of almighty Allah, Riyadh TNTJ continues to be No. 1 on the voluntary blood donation campaign in the Gulf country." In recognition of the noble contribution, TNTJ has received a number of awards from the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, and Tamil Nadu government. Riyadh TNTJ President Irshad Ahmed said, "TNTJ organizes voluntary blood donation campaign for the emergency requirements for Umrah and Haj season. The donor's blood will be used for the requirements of Umrah pilgrims." "We conduct these camps according to the verse of noble Qur'an Chapter 5 verse 32 ‘Whoever saves a life will be as if he has saved entire mankind', which will create social harmony and erase hatred among Muslims and against Islam," he added.
