Amjad Jutt sets WPCA tourney alight

JEDDAH — AOT, ALS Warriors and Friends XI came out on top in the matches that took place in the SCC Premier Cup sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) managed by WPCA here.
AOT downed Waqas Malik XI by 6 wickets. Waqas Malik XI was bundled out for 107 with only Tauseef making 28 and Fareed 36 as they added 70 after the team was tottering at 14 for 4. Then it lost 6 wickets for 23 runs from 84 for 4 to 107 all out. Rameez took 2-13, Aqeel 2-17, Moeez 2-21 and Ali Raza 2-29. AOT reached 110 for 4. Ilyas hit 22, Maqsood 28 and Faisal Mahmood remained unbeaten on 33. Waqas Malik claimed 3-33.
Friends XI trounced MCC by 66 runs. Friends XI piled up 194 for 7. Waqar hit 34, Umair 31, Niaz Ahmed 29, Saleem 16 and Amjad Jutt blasted an unbeaten 66 in 29 balls. Babar grabbed 2-27, Shakeel 2-29 and Khalid Butt 2-33. MCC was bowled out for 128. Amjad Jutt destroyed the batting lineup with 7-26 including a hat trick. Khawar Sohail stroked 20, Khalid Butt 60 in 33 balls and Ramazan 20.
ALS Warriors beat APF by 20 runs. ALS Warriors produced 160 for 6. Shahbaz remained unbeaten on 42 and Safiuddin on 24. Mohammad Amjad made 22, Abdullah Essa 26 and Abdul Aleem 16. Majid Khan took 2-24 and Adnan 2-36. APF fell short by 20 runs to be stranded at 140. Majid Khan made 24, Ali Ansar 34, Siddique 23 and Hasnain Ali 20. Shahbaz took 3-30 and Abdul Aleem 2-26.
SCC Afternoon Cup
Abid Ali of UCC was the pick of the bowlers to grab 6 wickets. United Cricket Club (UCC), Al-Safri, Lothers, Fuchs Alhamrani and Nestle Milo emerged winners in the tournament.
UCC beat Royal Brothers by 32 runs. UCC piled up 150. Abid Ali stroked 37, Shahnawaz 17, Obaid 28 and Ibrar 15. Hanif took 3-9 and Hamid Khan 2-19. Royal Brothers was restricted to 118 as Abid Ali crushed it with 6-18. Hamid Khan topscored with 52 off 28 balls. Yasir Ameen took 2-27.
Al-Safri thrashed Natpet by 7 wickets. Natpet, put into bat, was restricted to 156-8. Omer Farooq topscored with 46, Nadeem Shabbir hit 26 and Umer remained unbeaten on 24. Muneeb Anwar claimed 2-19 and Rizwan 2-33. Al-Safri reached 157 for 3 off 63 balls. Rehan hammered 73 in 28 balls as he added 128 with Muneeb Anwar (57 off 19 balls).
Lothers humbled El-Seif Eng. Co. by 174 runs. Lothers racked up 229 for 4. Khurram blasted 83 as he first added 104 with Mushtaq (46) and then 73 with Shamsuddin (41). Asif contributed 17 and Yasar 23 not out. Mubarak took 3 for 38. El-Seif Eng. Co. crashed for 55. Pradeep was the chief destroyer as he claimed 4-19, Shafer Ali picked up 2-16, Badushah 2-5 and Yasar 2-10.
Fuchs Alhamrani prevailed over Marine Services by 17 runs. Alhamrani amassed 195 for 5. Imran stroked 51, Nazaish 38, Mohsin 41, Saqib 18 and Rizwan 16 not out. Naseer took 2-41. Marine Services was restricted to 178. Nestle Milo humbled Zultrack by 57 runs. Nestle Milo plundered 199 for 6. Ijaz Butt scored 33 as he added 65 with Adalat (23). Imran Sarwar top scored with 73 in 27 balls with 7 sixes and 3 fours and Bilal Iqbal Malik unbeaten 30. Abdullah Zahid made 21. Qaim Khan took 3-15. Zultrack, in reply, was stranded at 142 for 9. Khadim made 31, Subaiyyal 21, Yasar excelled with 49. Irfan scalped 2-29 and Fahad 2-20.
