Khalid, Muneeb and Rehan hit centuries

JEDDAH — Khalid Butt of IDB, Muneeb Anwer and Rehan Khan of Al-Safri cracked centuries in the SCC Premier and Afternoon T20 tournaments here at WPCA.
SCC Premier T20
IDB got the better of Friends-XI by 85 runs. Islamic Development Bank piled up 203 with Khalid Butt hammering 102 in 52 balls (3 sixes and 11 fours) as he added 49 runs with Mohammad Farooq (26). Junaid Hashim stroked 17 and Irfan Shah 16. Teenager Hamdan once again bowled magnificently to grab 4-32, Wasim 3-41, Omer 2-37 and Samir one.
Friends-XI was bundled out for 118 with only Niaz making 23 and Nasir 33. Ghulam Mustafa, the wrecker-in-chief, took 4 wickets for 4 runs. Farooq took 2-15, Zahid Anwar 2-24, while Zeeshan and Irfan bagged one each. Wicketkeeper Junaid Hashim accounted for 7 dismissals behind the stumps with 3 stumpings and 4 catches.
SCC Afternoon T20
Waqas Malik-XI defeated Contraco by 23 runs. Waqas Malik-XI produced 183 for 9 with Waqas Malik making 37, Haroon Rana 26, Junaid 20 and Tauseef 18. Shadab claimed 3-17, Yaseen 2-23 and Shahid 2-24. Contraco, in reply, was stranded at 155 for 8 as Abbas made 24 and Amjad remained unbeaten on 19. Tauseef captured 3-25, while Waqas Malik and Danish had identical figures of 2-29.
Fuchs Alhamrani thrashed AMI Juffali by 119 runs. Alhamrani, opting to bat first, racked up 224 for 4. Irfan Anjum stroked 34 and Nazaish 42. Nasir Khan top scored with 77 in 35 balls, while Khuban remained unbeaten on 30. Usman grabbed 3-40.
AMI Juffali responded with only 105 as Imad hit 36 and Shaboor 16. Mohsin scalped 3-7 and Saqib 2-18.
Al-Safri trounced Aziziyah Elegant by 126 runs. Al-Safri, batting first, blasted 267 for 5 as Muneeb Ahmed smashed 104 in 50 balls with 16 fours while his partner Rehan Khan faced 38 balls to score 104 with 7 sixes and 11 fours. The duo added a record 200 runs off 73 balls for the opening stand. Manjeet Kumar was retired hurt for 21. Frankie took 2-28. Aziziyah Elegant was never in the hunt and managed only 141 for 7 as Atif Raja hit 57 in 43 balls and Ilyas 27. Wasiq Sherwani grabbed 3-21, Manjeet Kumar 2-29 and Shahzad 2-33. Kamran snatched 4 victims behind the sticks.
Nestle Milo beat Nesma Holding by 8 wickets. Nesma Holding was bowled out for 102 with only Shakib making 18. Ahsaan took 3-26, Fayaaz 2-11 and Adaalat 2-30. Nestle Milo reached the target of 104 for 2 in 81 balls thanks to Imran Sarwar hitting an unbeaten 52 in 38 balls, Ali Nawaz 21 and Azeem 17 not out.
UCC humbled NAI Juffali by 10 wickets. NAI Juffali crumbled for 62 as Yasir Ameen bowled devastatingly to scalp 5-15 and Qasim took 2-16. UCC reached home (65) in 34 balls with all 10 wickets in hand as prolific Shahnawaz Khan hammered 51 off 22 balls.
APF downed Awesome-XI by 68 runs. APF racked up 220 for 5 with Siddiq making 78 in 43 balls with a six and 10 fours as he added 126 for the 1st wicket with Ali (44). Basit remained unbeaten on 50 in 19 balls while Hasnain added 18. Khadim took 2-20. Awesome-XI was all out for 152 as Khadim compiled 33, Shah Umair 24, Shakir and Harris 17 each. Basit scalped 3-8 and Siddiq 3-41.
