Kadomi, Sultan Al-Maymouni and Turki Al-Wadie JAZAN — A five-year-old girl died after falling off the third floor of a shopping center in Jazan. The Jazan Red Crescent responded to the scene after receiving reports of the fall. "The young girl was at the shopping center with her mother and grandmother when she fell off the elevator. Everyone at the shopping center was shocked to see the body of a young girl," Jazan Red Crescent spokesman, Bishi Al-Sarkhi, said The young girl came with her family from a small village called Qaem Al-Dash. "Her family came to the shopping center to shop for Eid. She was the only child of her parents. A group of volunteers at the shopping center took the body to the hospital," he said. The accident is the second of its kind after another girl fell off a high floor at the shopping center and was severely injured recently. In a separate incident in Madinah, a Mauritanian child died after falling into a sewer in Al-Gharbiyah district. The Madinah Civil Defense spokesman, Col. Khalid Al-Jihani, said the Civil Defense deployed divers and a rescue team after receiving reports of the fall. "The Civil Defense found the body of the child. The Civil Defense hauled the body out and the case was forwarded to the pertinent authority," he said. In a separate incident in Najran, two young girls died in a fire in Al-Wadiyah District in Sharourah Governorate on Monday. Najran Civil Defense spokesman, Lt. Gen. Ali Al-Shihrani, said the Civil Defense extinguished the fire and hauled the bodies of two girls, aged five and eight.
