An old man and his wife were burned to death in a fire caused by a gas cylinder explosion in a row of shacks in a rural area outside Khamis Mushayt early Saturday. Asir Civil Defense spokesman Col. The fire also burned a car parked nearby. The Civil Defense was able to extinguish the fire. The elderly couple died after they sustained first degree burns all over their body. Meanwhile, Civil Defense firefighters doused a fire that broke out in a house in Unaizah in Qassim province on Saturday. Civil Defense spokesman Col. Four killed, 3 hurt in Jazan accidents JAZAN — Four people were killed and three others injured in three separate accidents in Jazan province on Saturday. Jazan Red Crescent spokesman Bishi Al-Sarkhy said two vehicles collided on Sabya-Beesh Highway, killing four people and severely injuring another. The injured victim was taken to Sabya General Hospital. Another man was injured in a collision on Sabya-Jazan Highway and was transported to Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser Hospital. The Red Crescent received reports of a third accident in Salamat Al-Darraj. The accident resulted in the injury of a man, who was taken to a nearby hospital. 25 trucks stealing sand from public land seized DAMMAM — Municipality inspectors seized 25 trucks for stealing sand in the Eastern Province. Head of Jubail Municipality Naif Al-Duwaish said the municipality organized a joint campaign with the Land and Area Management Department, Security Department and the police. The campaign covered the area between Abu Hadariyah Highway and Kuwait Highway and other locations. The campaign resulted in the seizure of 25 trucks for hauling sand out of public land without official permits. Fight between two Asian workers ends in murder DAMMAM — A fight between two Asian men ended in the death of one of them. Eastern Province Police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Raqiti said the Asian workers living together got into a fight, which triggered a fire in their residence. The Civil Defense extinguished the fire and the police found the two of the men who were fighting. One of the men in his 30s died due to several stabs and the other sustained critical injuries and taken to hospital. The police are waiting for the man to recover to register his arrest on homicide charges.
