Parts of Jazan were paralyzed on Sunday following heavy rain, closing roads and keeping people indoors. Many streets in the city were inundated, making movement difficult. Residents blamed the ineffective sewage system for rain disaster. Deputy spokesman for the Civil Defense Maj. Mohammed Al-Samghan warned the residents against hazards of flooding. He asked them to be extremely cautious while venturing out in extreme weather conditions. Heavy floods were reported in Abu Uraish, Sabya, Beesh, Samtah, Al-Darb, Uhud Al-Masarihah, Al-Aridhah, Al-Raith, Dhumad, Al-Harth, Al-Eidabi, Al-Tuwal, Huroob, Faifaa, Al-Dayer Bani Malik and others.
