The 58 article law was passed Sunday during a session held under the leadership Dr. Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al-Asheikh, Speaker of the Shoura Council . Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Secretary General, revealed that the law stipulates that the arbitrator was fully competent with a university degree in Shariah or law. “IIt will be valid for all types of arbitrations without prejudice to the provisions of Shariah and the provisions of international agreements in which the country is a party,” he said. However, he said, that the law won't apply to disputes related to personal status or cases where resolution was impossible to reach.
