In the first semifinal, Abdul Samad hit a superb 67, which enabled KAIA to post 213 for 9. Then its bowlers restricted Kashmir XI to 187 for 4 despite a valiant knock of 88 in 40 balls by Awais. In the other semifinal, Lahore Badshah comfortably chased down the target of 213 for the loss of 6 wickets with an over to spare, thanks to a superb unbeaten knock of 77 in 39 balls by Awais and a quick-fire unbeaten 26 off 8 balls (2 sixes and 3 fours) by Arshad which over-shadowed the fine knock by Babar (72) and Rana Shahzad (71) which helped MCH post 212 for 6 in 20 overs.
