Red Crescent receives 565 calls in thee days

The Red Crescent operation rooms received 565 reports of various emergencies in the Eastern Province over the past three days. Eastern Province Red Crescent spokesman Fahd Al-Ghamdi said the reports included 281 accidents, which resulted in 10 deaths and 74 injuries. There were six incidents of hit and run while 12 vehicles overturned and 18 swerved off the road. There were reports of 22 fires and three work injuries. Six people called the emergency number after they were trapped. There were 284 calls regarding medical emergencies, including 42 patients who fell unconscious, one case of insect bite, 17 patients with respiratory problems and five with cardiovascular problems. In 297 cases, the victims received on the spot medical attention and were then transported to hospitals while 286 cases received treatment on the spot and did not need hospital entry.
At least 10 people died as a result of accidents and one patient who called for medical assistance also died.
Two killed, 7 hurt in
highway accident
BURAIDAH — Two people were killed and seven others injured when a vehicle carrying them toppled over on Qassim-Madinah Highway, Red Crescent spokesman Mohammad Al-Juaithin said. The dead were taken to a hospital morgue while the injured victims who include a child were given medical treatment on the spot and were then transported to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, seven people were injured when in a car crash in Tabarjal governorate. Qurayyat Red Crescent reported two cars crashed and one of them toppled over as a result of the impact. Seven people belonging to a family were injured in the accident and were taken to hospital.
11 vehicles seized for multiple violations
BISHA — The Traffic Department in Bisha governorate seized 11 vehicles for multiple violations, including the removal or covering of number plates. Bisha Traffic Department Director Col. Minahi Al-Subaie said the department recorded violations on 11 vehicles the department has deployed inspectors on the roads to carry out routine checks and also receive reports from citizens about traffic law violations.
