Exciting encounters in SCC Cup

RIYADH — Round eight of the SCC Cup 2016 witness some exciting matches here. This T20 tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).
In Al-Kharaj League, Sama Steel registered a 7-wicket victory over Riyadh Aces. Batting first, Riyadh Aces posted 136 for 9. Hassan was the lone performer with 64. Asif and Raja claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Sama Steel chased the target in 12.1 overs. Raja (48) and Irshad (34) led the team to victory. Yasir picked up 2 wickets.
Amir Holidays lost to Lahore Lions by 3 wickets. Amir Holidays was all out for 163. Kamran (43) and Samiullah (34) batted well. Muzaffar took 3 wickets, while Nawaz and Obaid Ullah bagged 2 each. Lahore Lions got to the target in 18.4 overs. Obaid Ullah scored 31 and Muzzafar smashed an unbeaten 64 to ensure victory. Kamran and Imran took 2 wickets each.
Lahore Badshah lost to KFSH Blues by 44 runs. KFSH Blues scored 210. Waseem Riaz hit 78 and Ayaz 23. Yasir and Noman took 2 wickets each. Lahore Badshah managed only 166 in its allotted overs. Mudasir made 45 and Yasir 30. Iftikhar, Imtiaz and Abdul Malik grabbed 2 wickets each.
Pakistan Falcons defeated Falcons by 6 runs. Batting first, Pakistan Falcons posted 181 for 9. Nouman top scored with 40, while Matiullah and Hamza contributed 31 and 27, respectively. Nadeem Shah bagged 3 wickets, while Saleem and Farhan collected 2 each. In reply, Falcons was restricted to 175. Kamran smashed a quick-fire 54 and Ismael 28. Jadon grabbed 3 wickets. Farooq, Arif and Noman claimed 2 each.
In Diriyah League, Al-Harbi thrashed Detecon Eagles by 72 runs. Al-Harbi piled up 252. Salman (50), Arshad (64) and Shahid (56) smashed fifties. Aftab added 31. In reply, Rana hit 60 and Rizwan 42 a hand the team a good opening stand, but the middle order could not keep pace and managed only 180 in 20 overs. Naimat Ullah grabbed 3 wickets, while Slaman and Sohail claimed 2 each.
Challengers XI lost to King Lions by 99 runs. King Lions put on 238. Shakil blasted 104 off 53 balls. Nasir played a brilliant knock of 65. Challengers XI was restricted to 139, in reply.
Seham downed Pak Riderz by 5 wickets. Pak Riderz collected 172. Nasir secured 2 wickets. Seham scored the required 173 runs in 16.4 overs. Tehseen led the chase with 49, while Naveed and Kareem contributed 39 and 29, respectively. Fawad took 2 wickets.
Anees' stunning all-round performance handed Youngsters XI a thumping 70-run victory over Dehli Dare Devils. Yongsters scored 210 for 5. Anees top scored with 62 and Abdul Rehman made 45. Ali and Ramzan took 2 wickets each. Dehli fumbled to 140. Anees picked up 5 wickets. Cheema and Ather took 2 wickets each. Amir remained not out on 49.
Hara United defeated Sahara Net by 26 runs. Hara United produced 230 for 6, thanks to Wali (46), Talal (38), Nabeel (33) and Abdullah (27). Mubashir and Salman claimed 2 wickets each. Sahara Net scrabbled to 204 as Mubashir hit 47, Rehan 44 and Yasir 43. Shakeel took 2 wickets.
Shumaisi Fighters lost to Phoenix by 56 runs. Phoenix posted 206. Waqas top scored with 57, Haseeb added 45 and Noman 30. Saleem took 3 wickets and Asim grabbed 2. Shumaisi Fighters managed 150. Atif with 34 and Sajjad 29 showed some resistance. Shamroz claimed 3 wickets and Asif 2.
Bannu Eagles humbled All Blues by 9 wickets. All Blues was sent packing for 96. Anwar, Ruman, Arshad, Parvez and Saifullah bagged 2 wickets each. Bannu Eagles scored 97 for 1. Saifullah and Ruman scored 26 and 59, respectively.
