Civil Defense rescue personnel in Makkah saved the life of a 5-year-old boy who fell into a valley pass in Al-Umrah district Saturday evening. Water in the 35-meter-long pass was 1.5 meters deep and 5 meters wide. The boy was pulled out from the pass and rushed to a nearby hospital where his medical condition was reported to be stable. The Civil Defense said their operations room received information about the incident around 9 p.m. and immediately dispatched the rescue teams to the scene.
