Civil Defense men in Al-Gurayyat Governorate rescued a 7-year-old boy who fell into an artesian well on Thursday. Capt. Attallah Bin Garan Al-Ruwaili, spokesperson of the Directorate of Civil Defense in Al-Jouf Region, said the Operations Room in the Civil Defense Administration in Al-Gurayyat received a report saying that a boy was trapped inside an artesian well in a farm about 25 km from Al-Gurayyat city. Two rescue teams rushed to the scene and found that the boy was trapped inside a 35-meter-deep well with a diameter of 12 inches at the mouth. The rescue teams managed to pull the boy out of the well and he is in good health. After the rescue operation, a safety team summoned the farm owner and proposed several solutions to prevent a dangerous reoccurrence of the incident, and the owner agreed to fill the well with soil under the supervision of the safety team.
