RIYADH — Thrilling matches were played in round 7 of SCC Cup 2016 here. This T20 tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).
In Huraymala League, Saudi Jaguars lost to Cricket Samarwa by 33 runs.
Cricket Samarwa posted 198. Abu Baker remained unbeaten on 96, Ahsan mustered 29. Saudi Jaguars failed to understand Aasif Shaikh, who finished with figures of 4-19. The Jaguars was restricted to 165. Salman, Fahad and Rao scored 37, 32 and 30, respectively.
Nauman Gymkhana defeated by Fonte Star by 3 wickets. Nauman Gymkhana posted 179. Shahzad and Hafeez smashed 42 and 41, respectively, while Adnan made 36. Bilal Wani took 2 wickets. Fonte Star was home in 18.2 overs. Bilal, Waseem and Safdar took Fonte Star to victory with 43, 46 and 34, respectively. Afzal grabbed 3 wickets.
Swat Tigers beat L'usine by 7 wickets. L'usine racked up 152. Umar top scored with 25. Asif picked up 3 wickets, while Jalal and Shahzad bagged 2 each. Swat Tigers rushed to the target in 15.1 overs. Talal pocketed 2 wickets.
Pak Force humbled Punjab Stars by 19 runs. Pak Force put on 196 for 8. Zohaib scored 73 off 37 balls, Gohar made 48. Iqbal took 2 wickets. Punjab Stars was restricted to 177 in 20 overs. Zaheer blasted 53 and Waqas 38. Faisal grabbed 3 wickets and Nisar 2.
Riyadh Warriors registered a 9-wicket win over Sialkot XI. Sialkot collected 141 in 20 overs. Zahid top scored with 68 and Nadeem 36. Shakeel and Taufeeq shared 3 wickets each. Riyadh Warriors reached 142 in 9.5 overs. Asif (59) and Azeez (55) smashed rapid fifties to take their team home.
In Diriyah League, Phoenix crushed Pak Riders by 2 wickets. Pak Riders put on 134 with Faisal making 45. Ammar collected 4-10. Asif and Mujtaba took 2 wickets each. Phoenix reached the target in 16 overs. Furqan played a responsible innings of 51 to ensure victory. Fawad claimed 4 wickets and Faisal 2.
Abana thrashed Eirad Travels by 6 wickets. Eirad Travels piled up 124. Hashim scored 27 and Rizwan 25. Qasim took 3 wickets, while Furqan and Qadeer took 2 each. Abana chased down the target in 9.2 overs as Shahbaz smashed 80 off 30 balls and Zeeshan scored 22.
Habib Telecom downed Challengers XI by 23 runs. Habib Telecom collected 213 in their allotted overs. Waqas played a splendid knock of 95. Kamran scored 50 and Basir 36. Challengers XI could score only 190. Kamran picked up 3 wickets, while Rabani and Jawed bagged 2 each.
Sahara Net lost to Professional Creations by 71 runs. Professional Creations posted 201 as Renjith remained not out on 61. Fenil and Faizu added 29 each. Mubashir took 2 wickets. Sahara Net fumbled to 130. Dileep and Fenil destroyed Sahara Net lineup picking up 4 and 3 wickets, respectively. Noufal took 2. Jawad hit 47.
Kashmir XI thumped PTI Tigers by 77 runs. Kashmir XI racked up 226 and PTI Tigers scrambled to 149. Asif made 67. Azhar was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.
Al-Harbi humbled King Lions by 35 runs. Al-Harbi scored 184 as Salman top scored with 42. Mohsin bagged 3 wickets and Sewal 2. King Lions could manage only 149. Shakeel made 53 and Sewal 36. Naimat Ullah picked up 4-6 and Imran 2.
