RIYADH — Cricket Samarwa, Sulaiman XI and Riyadh Warriors posted comfortable wins in round five of the SAIB Cricket Tournament, which is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank.
Huraymala League
Cricket Samarwa registered a thumping 9-wicket victory over Punjab Lions. Punjab Lions scored 158 for the loss of 4 wickets. Kashif lost his wicket in the nervous nineties (92). Cricket Samarwa achieved the target in 11.1 overs. Waqar smashed 54, while Ahsan and Abu Baker scored 46 and 48, respectively.
Kohsar lost to Sulaiman XI by 9 wickets. Kohsar posted 180 for 6. Abdul Wahid hit 36, Qasim 35 and Meraj 37. Sulaiman XI was home for the loss of one wicket. Akhtar notched 43, while Shakeel and Mudassar remained unbeaten on 57 and 65, respectively.
Riyadh Warriors humbled Sinmar by 7 wickets. Sinmar put on 148 with Nawaz scoring 53 and Adil 26. Shakeel grabbed 3 wickets, while Ayaz and Mohsin claimed 2 each. Riyadh Warriors reached the target in 15.4 overs. Asif made 58 and Ayaz 30.
Diriyah League
Karachi Dolphins defeated Bannu Eagles by 6 wickets. Bannu Eagles racked up 179 for 6. Ruman played an aggressive innings of 78 while Wasi mustered 34. Sadat and Zain claimed 3 wickets each, while Kareemullah took 2. Karachi Dolphins rushed to the target in 18.1 overs. Rizwan stroked an astonishing 102 off 54 balls. Salman added 35.
United Lions lost to Nouman Gymkhana by 4 wickets. United Lions was all out for 137. Shehzad was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets and Imran took 2. Vinesh played a composed knock of 65. Nouman Gymkhana reached the target in 15.1 overs. Mathy grabbed 2 wickets.
Professional Creations humbled Abana by 33 runs. Professional Creations collected 201 for 4. Zubair remained not out on 69, Dileep scored 51 and Guhan 32. Abana managed 168. Qader and Majid showed some fight with 29 and 28, respectively. Fenil picked up 3, while Dileep and Zahid got 2 each.
Shumaisi Fighters downed PTI Tigers by 7 wickets. PTI Tigers piled up 190. Shumaisi Fighters held its nerves to achieve the target in 17.2 overs. Mohsin remained unbeaten on 93 and Shezad blasted 54.
Sahara Net was outplayed by Ravi. Ravi scored 181 for 9. Afzal (55) and Javaid (51) scored fifties. Arif took 3 wickets, while Anees and Rehan bagged 2 each. Sahara Net was all out for a meager score of 89. Shani and Arif destroyed the batting lineup claiming 3 wickets each, while Abu Baker took 2.
Challengers XI thrashed Al-Momen International School by 6 wickets. Al-Momen posted 129. Nasir and Abdu took 3 wickets each. Challengers XI chased the target in 16.1 overs. Virul and Abdu remained unbeaten on 66 and 22, respectively.
Phoenix lost to Seham by 88 runs. Seham put on 208 for 3. Naveed scored 82 and Nasir 38. Phoenix was restricted to 120. Alamgir, Gulzar, Owais and Tehseen had 2 wickets each.
Naz downed Smashers by 5 wickets. Smashers collected 195 for 4. Khurram (58) and Meraj (55) scored fifties and Talal 38. Naz scored the required runs (196) in 19.2 overs. Shabbar and Saad claimed 2 wickets each.
Saudi Zaas defeated Kashmir XI by 55 runs. Saudi Zaas scored 235 for 6. Ijaz blasted 68, Suhail 79 and Danish 29. Kashmir XI fumbled to 180. Faheem and Faiz took 3 wickets each, while Danish picked up 2.
