The Board of Directors of Okaz Organization for Press and Publication Thursday approved a new expansionary budget for 2012, based on substantial profits achieved last year. The meeting was led by Dr. Sa'ed Al-Orabi Al-Harithy, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Al-Harithy opened the meeting with a warm welcome for Dr. Hashim Abdu Hashim, who returned as Editor-in-Chief of Okaz newspaper after an absence of five years. All the board members congratulated the Okaz Editor-in-Chief, who attended his first board meeting after starting work on Saturday, Muharram 12, 1433H (Dec. 10, 2011). They said they were confident that the newspaper would make considerable progress in the coming period. Hashim thanked everyone for their warm welcome and confirmed that his editorial staff is committed to fulfilling the needs and aspirations of Okaz readers. The Board of Directors praised the organization's administration for helping to achieve record-breaking revenues. It said that this was an indication of good financial and administrative performance and was a result of comprehensive development projects at all levels. The board members said they were looking forward to another year of growth by increasing advertising revenue, securing more readers and developing new media. The board meeting was held in preparation for the General Assembly scheduled for March 1, 2012. The meeting was attended by Dr. Waleed Arab Hashim, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and members, Abdul Latif Al-Jabr, Abdullah Omar Khayyat, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Hussein Shobokshi, Dr. Tariq Ali Fad'aq and Dr. Waleed Jameel Kattan, Director General of the organization. The session was followed by Ahmad Bin Sulaiman Al-Battah, Secretary of the board.
