The Board of Directors of Okaz Organization for Press and Publication met Thursday at its headquarters in Jeddah, in the presence of Dr. Sa'ed Al-Orabi Al-Harithy, Chairman of the Board of Directors, to review the semiannual report for the company, its publications, their accomplishments and ongoing work. The Board, which said it valued the administrative and financial accomplishments and stressed the Organization's advancement toward more development and expansion activities, noted that revenues have exceeded what was achieved in the past two years. To build on the success, the board approved steps, it said, will generate large returns. The Board also studied the company's publications and what ought to be done to achieve the goals in terms of the messages and returns. Additionally, members discussed media projects that would realize Okaz's objectives and said they should be characterized by comprehensive journalism and printing activities to boost human resources and technical capabilities. The Board also discussed what should be approved to guarantee the Organization's steady progress, expansion and development of its accomplishments. The meeting was attended by Dr. Waleed Arab Hashim, deputy chairman of the Board; Waleed Kattan, director general of the Organization; members Abdul Lateef Al-Jabr, Abdullah Kamel, Abdullah Khayyat, Dr. Tariq Fad'aq and Hussein Shubukshi; and Ahmad Al-Battah, secretary of the Board of Directors.
