RCA begins new tourney

Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) started a new T20 tournament, which is named as SCC Cup 2016. This tournament is organized by RCA and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC).
In all, 78 teams are participating in this tournament which is divided into four Leagues — Al-Kharj (9 teams), Huraymala (24 teams), Hayer (24 teams) and Diriyah (21 teams).
Al-Kharj League
Amer Holidays beat Falcons by 56 runs. Amer Holidays, batting first, scored 256-4. Irfan Mushtaq blasted 123 off 46 balls. He was well supported by Kamran Hadi (30) and Asim (27). Sirajuddin picked up 2 wickets. Falcons, in reply, managed 200. Asif hit 78, Ismail 48 and Farhan 29. Kamran Hadi claimed 4 wickets and Ayaz 2.
Huraymala League
Sulaiman XI downed Sinmar CC by 6 wickets. Sinmar CC posted 195. Shakeel, Akhtar Hussain and Ahsan took 2 wickets each. Sulaiman XI achieved the target in 18.3 overs. Akhtar Hussain blasted 101 off 47 balls, while Shakeel hit 80 in 48 balls.
Swat Tigers routed Asia XI by 7 wickets. Asia XI recorded 159. Swat Tigers won the match in 17.2 overs as Amjad cracked 79, Shahzad 29 and Zahid 24.
Cricket Samarwa defeated Pak Force by 6 wickets. Pak Force tallied 180 through Faisal (53) and Arshi 38. Amjad, Hamza, Amir and Asif took 2 wickets each. Samarwa chased the target in 17 overs. Hamza scored 92 off 41 balls and Waqar added 27. Israr picked up 2 wickets.
Riyadh Fighters got the better of Fonte Star by 23 runs. Riyadh Fighters posted 214. Nusrat scored 79 off 46 balls, Yassir 50 and Omar 28. Fonte Star managed 191. Imran Younous claimed 2 wickets.
Hayer League
TBCC thrashed Tigers CC by 80 runs. TBCC, batting first, scored 200. Faisal made 66, Shameem 56, Akhil Mohan 35 and Hakeem 26. Shakeel and Sharif claimed 1 wicket each. Tigers, in reply, managed 120. Sharif hit 37 and Kamran 25. Akhil Mohan and Murali took 4 wickets each.
Kashmir Strikers beat Riyadh Panthers by 2 wickets. Panthers, batting first, posted 158-6. Asim made 52, Raza 35 and Cheema 32. Sameer, Faizan, Mushtaq and Ishfaq took one wicket each. Strikers achieved the target in 19.4 overs through Ishfaq (36), Mudassar (28) and Haider (25). Raza picked up 3 wickets, while Usman and Aijaz got 2 each.
Thales CC defeated Pak United CC by 6 wickets. Pak United, batting first, recorded 156-8. Haseeb top scored with 97. Luqman and Qaiser claimed 2 wickets each. Thales got to the target in 18.1 overs as Aziz hit 56 and Obaid 32. Haseeb and Kamil grabbed 1 wicket each.
Diriyah League
Bannu Eagles edged Youngsters XI by 2 wickets. Youngsters XI tallied 162. Abdulrahman blasted 74, Yassir 41 and Adnan 23. Wasiullah picked up 3 wickets. Bannu Eagles won the match in 18 overs as Aziz hit 80 and Arshad 23. Cheema accounted for 4 wickets and Shahzad 2. Shumaisi Fighters downed Pak Riderz by 3 wickets. Pak Riderz posted 164. Shumaisi Fighters reached the target in 18.2 overs. Mohsin scored 45 and Atif 28. Fawad picked up 4 wickets and Rashid 2.
Abana CC prevailed over Phoenix CC by 21 runs. Abana, batting first, scored 158. Abid hit 31, Akbar 26, Qadeer 25 and Furqan Ahmed 24. Waqas and Ammar claimed 2 wickets each. Phoenix CC, in reply, managed 137. Haseeb made 37 and Waqas 31. Furqan Ahmed grabbed 4 wickets, while Nadeem and Shahid got 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. — SG
