Centuries galore in RCA American Express T20

RIYADH — The third round of American Express T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) saw a number of centuries here recently. The tournament is sponsored by American Express.
Huraymala League
L'usine thumped Saudi Jaguars by 27 runs. L'usine was all out for 217. Rustam Ali top scored with 84, while Adeel added 55. Faisal took 3 wickets and Abdul Salam 2. Saudi Jaguars could manage only 190 in reply. Salman hit 55. Azam picked up 3 wickets and Naveed 2.
Insaf registered a 2-wicket victory over Kohsar. Kohsar posted 173. Qadir and Zeeshan grabbed 2 wickets each. Insaf reached the target for the loss of 8 wickets. Sadam and Hamad scored 50 runs each.
Sulaiman-XI lost an entertaining thriller to Cricket Samarwa. Sulaiman scored put on 242 with Ansar making 58, Mudassir 48, Shoaib 46 and Shakeel 46. Cricket Samarwa won the match in 19.5 overs. Abu Baker blasted 78, Hafiz 50 and Waqar 37. Ijaz and Shakeel took 2 wickets each.
KFSH Green downed Riyadh Warriors by 14 runs. KFSH Green racked up 197 as Rafaqat hit 63 and Sohail 61. Ayaz, Mohsin and Aziz grabbed 2 wickets each. Riyadh Warriors fought hard but was restricted to 183. Abdulaziz fell for 96 and Ayaz made 41.
Sinmar lost to AKCC by 3 wickets. Sinmar posted a below par 157. Zainul hit 32. Ziyas took 4 wickets while Nadeem and Omar took 2 each. AKCC was home in 18.2 overs. Afzal hit 42, Sultan 38 and Imran 32.
Hayer League
Pasban cruised to an 8-wicket victory over TBCC. TBCC scored 159 runs. Cherian was the lone fighter. He scored 103. Zain and Ali took 2 wickets each. Pasban chased the target in 15.2 overs. Ali blasted 80 and Arshad 71.
Green Bangla lost to Pak Saudi Warriors by 42 runs. Pak Saudi Warriors posted a decent total of 242. Mubashir made 80, Saif 64 and Raza 43. Mehboob picked up 3 wickets. Green Bangla could manage only 200. Mazhar Ul Haq remained unbeaten on 142. Raza took 3 wickets and Usman 2.
Thales thrashed Shumaisi Fighters by 96 runs. Thales racked up 237 with Asim top scoring with 86 and Aziz making 57. Mohsin and Atif took 2 wickets each. Shumaisi Fighters scrabbled to just 141. Chand (50) and Mohsin (30) displayed some fight. Ali picked up 4-2 and Imran 3 wickets.
FAST lost to Punjab Stars by 8 wickets. FAST put on 154. Waqas took 3 wickets, while Iqbal and Yasif grabbed 2 each. Punjab Stars reached home in 14.5 overs. Yasif notched 80.
Shaheen Strikers edged Lahore Badshah Green by 11 runs. Shaheen Strikers compiled 218-8. Naushad top scored with 77 and Waheed added 33. Wasim and Atif took 2 wickets each. Lahore Badshah Green could score only 207. Zahideen scored 101. Asad scalped 3 wickets, while Amir and Waheed got 2 each.
Kashmir Strikers crushed Tigers by 80 runs. Kashmir Strikers notched 242 for 2. Ishfaq scored his maiden hundred (101 not out) and Mudasir 75. Sharaf took 2 wickets. Tigers was restricted to 162. Kamran (53) and Sharaf (33) batted well. Altaf took 2 wickets.
