Mobily sends winners in #Mobily_Hackathon contest to Silicon Valley

Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has signed an agreement with Youth Elite Program, the partner sponsor for Mobily Apps Developing Contest #Mobily_Hackathon which aims to deport the winners to Silicon Valley in San Francisco, USA for the first time in Middle East.
Faiez Awadh, Chief Human Resources Officer and John Saad, Chief Consumer Officer and a number of executives attended on behalf of Mobily, in the presence of the representatives of Youth Elite Program and CEO Ahmed Banafie.
Coinciding with the agreement signing, Mobily has announced the launch of App developers contest for this year, which aims to develop and innovate Arabic applications for smart devices industry. The App developers contest's mechanism and how to apply them will vary this year in comparison with the previous versions provided by Mobily over the past years. It will take the touch of Hackathon which means in the world of technology, quick implementation and programming within a short period of time. The contest will include all those interested in this field such as developers, programmers, designers and entrepreneurs. This initiate is corresponding with MOL decision in Saudiazing the mobile shops, since the winner will have a unique opportunity for development.
The contest will be launched on March 31, 2016 in Riyadh and will last for three consecutive days during the weekend. Many innovative ideas and challenges in this field will be introduced, and App developers will have the opportunity to make contacts with experts and specialists who have already contributed to this industry and launch many successful applications in the region, and who will provide important tips to encourage the competitors to complete, develop, design and program their applications and to enable them to present a business model for study and commercial evaluation.
The trip to Silicon Valley will last for a period of one week in collaboration with the co-sponsor Youth Elite Programs that aims to develop and build up the youth personal and practical skills through international programs and valuable trips in various fields. The trip program will include a number of visits to companies in the field of smart Apps, entrepreneurship, and attend a number of workshops presented by experienced instructors and learn key skills of how to become a successful leader in this area and to quest further knowledge from people of experience.
All Apps developers categories of all different age groups either independents or representatives of companies will be allowed to participate in the contest, whether through registration as a team of five members as a maximum or through individual registration and then join one of the teams.
