Shafiq hits unbeaten 160

JEDDAH — My Care Hala Premier team, led by an unbeaten 160 from skipper Kashif, cruised past favorite and unbeaten Ace Travel in the 5th Week of the Ace & Initial Saudi Premier League T-20 Tournament at JCA Complex.
In other matches, ARM United snatched its second straight win by beating Hyderabad Sharks by 50 runs, Pepsi Deccan Knights downed Saudi Oil by 22 runs, Pak Green blunted ALS Warriors by 173 runs, ICAD got back to winning ways by defeating Kashmir Stags by 5 wickets and My Care Blazers shot down MB Stars by 6 runs.
This Event is being jointly sponsored by Ace Travels & Tours and Initial Services Group and co-sponsored by ALS Borderless Logistics, Jotun Saudi Arabia, Khind Electronics, Mizo Juices (Arrow Foods), SIPCO (Pepsi) and UT Lines. It is organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
ARM United, opting to bat first, scored 207-4 in 20 overs against Hyderabad Sharks. Arsalan top-scored with 62 not out in 35 balls with 2 sixes and 6 fours. Sami Khan and Tabrez contributed 57 and 33, respectively. Parvez took 3-42. In reply, Hyderabad Sharks were restricted to 157-4. Parvez scored 63 and Zafar 40. Saadique Merchant grabbed 2-38.
Man of Match: Arsalan. Batting first, Pepsi Deccan Knights tallied 198-6 against Saudi Oil. Captain Mohammed Quddus Athar top-scored with 77 runs, while Wajid Samdani made 54 before being retired out and Sohail Al-Yafai contributed 33.
In reply, Saudi Oil recorded 176-7. Mohammed Sulaiman hit 44, Sulaiman Malik 25 and Chand 24. Ishaq Baghdadi took 3-29 and Naveed 2-26. Man of Match: Mohammed Quddus Athar.
Ace Travel's decision to put MCH Premier to bat first backfired as MCH put on a huge total of 306-3. Captain Kashif Shafiq scored a brilliant 160 not out in 57 balls with 14 sixes and 13 fours. Shahbaz Rasheed scored 92 in 43 balls with 9 sixes and 4 fours. Kashif and Shahbaz posted 239 runs for the second wicket. Abdul Waheed took 3-63.
In reply, Ace Travels was all out for 205 in 18.1 overs. Moazzam Shoukat blasted a quickfire 75 in 36 balls with 6 sixes and 6 fours. Maqsood and Shahzad contributed 39 and 37, respectively. Shahbaz and Adnan took 3 wickets each. Man of the Match: Kashif Shafiq.
Pak Green posted 257-7 after put in by ALS Warriors. Aamir Gujjar scored 63 and Jahangir 45. Amjad Jatt took 2-45. In reply, ALS Warriors were bundled out for 84 in 15 overs. Faisal and Rizwan took 3 wickets each. Man of the Match – Aamir Gujjar.
Opting to bat first, Kashmir Stags were all out for 164. Tariq and Majid contributed 29 and 27, respectively. Shakeel picked up 3-31. In reply, ICAD reached 165-5 in 19.2 overs. Afzal hit 46, while Faheem and Mohsin scored 23 each. Shakeel and Waqar made 21 each. Nahid took 2-25. Man of the Match: Shakeel.
Batting first, My Care Blazers put on 216-7 against MB Stars. Hafiz Rizwan scored 55, Riaz Afridi 52 and Adnan Shah 50. In reply, MB Stars were all out for 210 in 19.4 overs. Hasnain and Ateeq Mansha contributed 57 each.
Aamir made 26 and Moazza Virk 25. Adnan Khan chipped in with 4-20 and Riaz Afridi 2-25. Man of the Match: Riaz Afridi.
