Semifinals lineup set for SAIB tourney

Pak Shaheen and Lahore Lions advanced to the SAIB Cricket Tournament semifinals, where they will meet KFSH Blues and Lahore Badshah, respectively.
This tournament is sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB) and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
In the 40-over Al-Kharj League, Pak Shaheen smashed CKK by 9 wickets. CKK, batting first, was all out for 201. Abdulwahab was the pick of the bowlers with 3-36. Asad and Ateeq bagged 2 wickets each. Chasing a modest target, Pak Shaheen openers punished the CCK bowlers at will. Ibrar Ul Haq hit 126 off 46 balls, while Abdul Waheed remained unbeaten on 70 off 38 balls. Pak Shaheen achieved the target for the loss of one wicket in 14.3 overs.
In another high-scoring match, Lahore Lions beat KFSH Blues by 55 runs. Electing to bat first, Lahore Lions posted a formidable total of 371-5 in 40 overs. Muzaffar Majeed and Obaidullah played brilliantly and scored 111 and 103, respectively. Mohammed Nawaz added a quick-fire 71 off 36 balls. Iftikhar Ali picked up 2-61. Imtiaz, Usman and Saqib bagged a wicket each.
Chasing a huge target, KFSH Blues started well, but lost wickets at regular intervals and was eventfully all out for 316 in 33.1 overs. Ayaz Mohammed top scored with 91. Waqas Riaz was in great touch and hit 58 off 18 balls, including 7 sixes. Other major contributions came from Munawar (48), Saqib (32) and Khurram (25). Obaidullah claimed 3 wickets, while Muzaffar Majeed, Nawaz and Ali bagged 2 each.
In Diriyah League T20 tournament, Al Harbi CC beat Youngsters XI by 81 runs. Al Harbi scored 213-4. Murad and Salman scored 47 each, while Shahid added 37. Anees, Yassir and Cheema scalped a wicket each. Youngsters, in reply, managed 132. Abdulrahman scored 43. Haider, Naimatullah and Shah bagged 2 wickets each.
Nouman Gymkhana thrashed Habib Telecom CC by 5 wickets. Habib Telecom CC was all out for 62, thanks to a devastating spell of bowling by Mubashar, who took 5-7 (including a hat trick). Aftab and Zia got 2 wickets each. Nouman Gymkhana was home in 6.2 overs. Shahzad hit 29.
Karachi Dolphins beat United Lions CC by 46 runs. Dolphins scored 227-2. Syed Rizwan blasted 120 and Raheel 67. United Lions, in reply, managed 181-6. Sarfraz notched 71 and Nashan 43. Kareemullah picked up 3 wickets and Raheel 2.
Bannu Eagles beat Hara United by 8 wickets. Hara United put on 72. Waqeel bagged 4 wickets, while Anwar and Wasi got 3 and 2, respectively. Eagles won the match in 4.2 overs. Shaheen hit 37 and Aziz 23.
Phoenix CC thumped King Lions XI by 6 wickets. King Lions XI, batting first, was restricted to 122. Imdad, Shamroz and Antar grabbed 2 wickets each. Phoenix achieved the target in 14.5 overs as Antar scored 38 and Asif 32. Jahangir snared 2 wickets.
Challengers XI humiliated Delhi Dare Devils by 9 wickets. Dare Devils posted 153 as Ramzan hit 32. Ihsan scalped 3 wickets and Abdu 2. Challengers was home in 15 overs. Ihsan scored 73 and Viral 43.
Ravi CC got the better of Detecon Eagles by 34 runs. Ravi posted 239. Abubaker played a brilliant knock of 113 off 40 balls. Afzal added 35. Detecon Eagles, in reply, managed 205. Abubaker, Tanweer and Afzal picked up 2 wickets each.
