Pak Shaheen, Lahore Lions set up SAIB Twenty20 final

RIYADH — Pak Shaheen and Lahore Lions advanced to the SAIB T20 tournament (Al-Kharaj) final at Riyadh Cricket Association grounds here. The tournament is sponsored by The Saudi Investment Bank.
Al-Kharaj League
In the first semifinal, Pak Shaheen cruised to a 72-run victory over Lahore Badshah. Batting first, Pak Shaheen posted 286 for 5.
Abdul Waheed scored his fifth century in the tournament. He smashed 129 off 67 balls. Wahab (62) and Ishaq (40) also batted well.
In reply, Lahore Badshah was bowled out for 214 in 19 overs. Salam picked 3 wickets, while Wahab, Faisal and Aziz shared 2 wickets each.
Abdul Waheed was adjudged man of the match. In the second semifinal, favorite KFSH Blues lost to Lahore Lions by 5 wickets. KFSH Blues scored 231 for 5.
Waseem hit 55, Irshad 45 and Iftikhar 33. Lahore Lions chased down the target in 17.1 overs. Awais scored 60 and Fahad 48. Imtiaz and Jabbir bagged 2 wickets each. Awais was named man of the match.
Diriyah League
In the first semifinal, Nouman Gymkhana beat Saudi Zaas in a thriller as it successfully chased down 12 runs in 5 balls. Earlier the scores were tied at 224.
Nouman Gymkhana scored 224 without losing a wicket. Amjad blasted 100 and Mubashar 102. Saudi Zaas was bundled out for 224. Aftab picked up 4 wickets, while Amjad and Imran claimed 2 each.
Amjad was named man of the match for his all-round performance. Saham downed Kashmir-XI by 6 wickets. Kashmir put on 159 for 3. Majid top scored with 58.
Shafat and Shabir added 34 each. Saham reached the target in 17.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Nasir top scored with 58 and Naveed made 50. Shaukat grabbed 2 wickets.
