Shawqiyah branch municipality in Makkah has confiscated large quantities of fruit and vegetables, which were randomly displayed by unlicensed vendors in Al-Kaakiyah area. Chairman of the municipality Mamdouh Iraqi said about 100 cartons of various fruits were confiscated and distributed among welfare organizations in the holy city. He said the municipality would continue its raids on shops violating regulations within its drive to correct the market environment in the city. — SG photo by Badea Abu Al-Naja
