[gallery td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="31953,31954"] JEDDAH — The International Indian School Jeddah hosted a cultural feast at the school premises depicting the mosaic of perennial India's myriad culture. Diversity was the central theme that displayed united hearts...unbeatable spirit... to mark the 67th Republic Day. Shahid Alam, Haj Consul and school observer, members of the school managing committee, school officials, staff and students of IISJ were treated to a varied cultural fare. Decked up as a mini India, the IISJ school premises demonstrated the patriotic fervor of the symbolic Republic Day which was illuminated in each Indian's heart. The program started with several multilingual melodies presented by young boys and girls of the 6-8 blocks that rekindled the nationalist sentiments of the audience. Spreading the message of national unity and integrity the tiny tots of 1-2 girls put up a spectacular drill display with 180 little girls dressed up in colorful attires that moved the audience by their innocent and charming gestures and postures. With symmetrical formations and concentric circles they depicted the multicultural, multiethnic, multireligious Indian society giving a powerful message that in spite of all these diversities They are one – just as every circle has one and only one center. Next the 120 participants of 3-5 girls marveled the audience with a scintillating hoola hoop drill display paying a floral tribute to their motherland. The perfectly coordinated formations depicting connectivity, positivity and culmination of various abilities and talents of the little girls. An inspiring tableau was presented by the 200 energetic participants of the 3-5 boys section. Every float bringing to life the values and ideals upheld by India and the various campaigns undertaken by the government of India. The feelings of togetherness in spite of diversity were kindled by the first float on national Integration depicting the rich diversity of our nation and various art forms. The Swatch Bharat float showcased the national level campaign to fulfill the vision and mission of a clean India. Students in action stressed the participation of each and every citizen in achieving this mission. Next in line was the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan the government of India's flagship program for achieving compulsory elementary education. "Save the Girl Child "or the Beti bachao float spread awareness about the plight of the girl child and the successful launch of the Astrosat showcased India's advancement in Space Technology. The little boys dressed as scientists, doctors and astronauts were very impressive. Finally they gave the most important message of World Peace through their candle march and song — We Are The World. The grand finale was the skating show by the boys of 6-8 blocks. The daring youngsters of IISJ enthralled the audience with their energy and zeal. They portrayed and formed the majestic national flag, the national bird, and human pyramids, which truly thrilled the audience.
