The Administrative Court of Appeals upheld a lower court verdict sentencing two public sector employees to imprisonment and fine for embezzlement. Spokesman for the National Commission for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) Abdulrahman Al-Ajlan said it received reports from a citizen on several cases of corruption and abuse of power by the governorate employee. The employee worked in an administrative post and was running a business on the side, which is illegal for public sector employees. He a record of misdemeanors and was under interrogation over other charges, said Al-Ajlan. A pilot with Saudi Arabian Airlines was proven guilty of cooperating with the governorate employee in his transgressions, said Al-Ajlan.
