RIYADH — Six public sector employees have been sentenced to prison and fines of up to SR1 million after they were convicted of corruption charges. Abdulrahman Al-Ajlan, official spokesman for the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha), said all six officials were employed in the Ministry of Health. The charges against them included forgery, bribery and extortion. The prison terms varied from three to 10 years. The commission also slapped them with fines ranging from SR100,000 to SR1 million, depending on the severity of the charges. The commission thanked Saudis and non-Saudis who have provided information that helped nail the officials.
