Four Yemen nationals have been arrested on multiple theft charges. Makkah Police spokesman Col. Ati Al-Qurashi said the police received reports on a gang stealing wallets and bank cards from people. The gang seemed to mainly target senior citizens and expatriates, with crimes reported in Al-Balad and Al-Kandrah areas. The police analyzed video footage from store surveillance cameras and were able to identify the thieves and locate them in Jazan. Police were able to lure the thieves back to Jeddah and arrest them. The four confessed to 15 thefts, and police said they found a toy gun and some cash in their possession. One dead, 3 injured in wall collapse QURAYYAT — A worker was killed and three others injured after a concrete wall collapsed on them at a construction site. Jouf Civil Defense spokesman First Lt. Abdulrahman Al-Dhuwaihi said the Civil Defense rushed to the site upon receiving report of a concrete wall collapsing on four Egyptian construction workers at a construction site east of Al-Uroubah district. The injured were immediately taken to a hospital. The Civil Defense stressed that construction sites need to adhere to safety regulations in order to avoid such fatal accidents. Bid to smuggle over 8,600 bullets foiled JAZAN — The police seized 8,682 bullets after foiling an attempt to smuggle them into the Kingdom from Yemen. Jazan Police said they spotted a suspicious-looking vehicle on steep mountain roads in the Al-Dayer mountains. The driver ignored several calls to stop and kept on driving. The police pursued the vehicle until it eventually crashed and rolled over. The driver managed to escape, but upon searching the vehicle police found 8,682 bullets. Bullets hidden under vehicle's seat seized RIYADH — The Custom Control has seized 29,738 bullets in a busted smuggling attempt on Al-Khafji exit. Riyadh Custom Control Director Eid Al-Enizi said the officers stopped a car with a family in it for inspection. The officers found the bullets hidden underneath the vehicle's seats and in other parts. The man was trying to smuggle the bullets into the province and had brought women and children with him to pose as his family in an attempt to avoid inspection. The bullets were seized and the man was arrested. Health practitioners fined over SR274,000 last year TAIF — The Health Directorate has issued fines of over SR274,000 to health practitioners in both the public and private sectors during the past year. Taif Health Affairs spokesman Siraj Al-Humaidan said in a press release on Sunday that the private sector was fined SR131,000, while the public sector was fined SR143,000.
