DHAMAD, Jazan — Police here arrested a Saudi man for attempting to smuggle 120 bottles of liquor. Jazan Police said a car heading to the south of the province was stopped for inspection. Police found the alcohol bottles in boxes in the back of the truck. They destroyed the alcohol, seized the vehicle and arrested the driver. In another operation in the same area, police seized 150 barrels of liquor after receiving complaints from residents about an Indian explatriate who was manufacturing liquor in an apartment he rented in their neighborhood. They also seized 274 bags of liquor ready for distribution. Police are still looking for the Indian.
